Needham Appoints Private Placements Head
Bennett has specialized in private placements at Deutsche, Lehman and other firms.

Peter Bennett, formerly head of private placements at Deutsche Bank, Piper Jaffray and Lazard Middle Market, has been tapped to lead the private placement group at Needham & Co.
Bennett was most recently a partner at private equity firm Consumer Growth Partners. At Needham, he will report to John Prior, the firm's president and chief executive.
Bennett has executed more than 100 private placements which raised over $6 billion. He has advised domestic and international corporate issuers in the industrial, healthcare and life sciences, media, technology, business services and consumer sectors.
Earlier in his career, Bennett was a senior private placement banker at Lehman Brothers and Chase Securities.
"Peter is a talented professional with private placement experience that fits perfectly into our areas of expertise," said Prior. "We're delighted to have him leading our private placement efforts. We look forward to growing this business under Peter's direction."
Bennett, a chartered financial analyst, is a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor-of-arts degree in political science.
