Robert Weiss has joined private placement advisory firm Global Capital Advisors as a senior advisor. Weiss spent 13 years with Banc of America Securities, where his most recent position was managing director and head of the ratings advisory group. Prior to working with BAS, Weiss spent 12 years with Standard & Poor's. At GCA, Weiss will be responsible for growing the firm's ratigs and credit advisory business. GCA was founded in February 2008 and provides advisory services to private placement issuers.
David Bohn, a former m.d. in the private placement group at Citigroup, has joined New York-based Cowen Group. Bohn will be based in New York and report to Jonathan Biele, head of capital markets. Prior to working at Citigroup, Bohn was co-head of private capital with First Albany Capital, having joined from UBS Warburg.
